Sicilia è... A 6000 years old civilisation
to whick contributed a number of populations quite
different by their origins, made Sicily not only
the geographical wonder it appears at first sight,
but also the magic triangle where arts and cultures
harmoniously mix in spite or because a long history
rich in events of all sorts. From the ancient Sicani
and Siculi to the Greeks and the Romans, the Bizantines
and the Arabs, the Normans and the Burbons, Siculy
has always been a cultural and artistic melting
pot which inspired geniuses such as Homer, Goethe
and Verdi, to name a few. There were born Bellini,
Pirandello, Verga, Quasimodo e Sciascia who introduced
Sicilian culture to the world. This Sicilian cultural
melting pot also gave birth to Sicilians gastronomy
wich is now admitted everywhere as one of the most
sophisticated in the world. Myths and legends,
seen through the coloured glasses of traditions,
as they appear an “Carretti” and ceramics, reveal
the craftsmen will to create art, inspired by this
blessed land. That Sicily set in the blue sea,
protected by Etna as by a good giant, lavishly
offers her warmth, the colours and perfumes of
her flowers, her stunning landscapes, the genuine
quality of her seafood, meats, vegetables, and
fruits , the flavours of which are enhanced by
the art of her “Chefs” for
your own pleasure.
